This session will explore the processes involved as visual resources (or other types of) collections are integrated into a larger institutional structure in response to changes in the focus and the delivery of the collection. How and why is change initiated? What happens when institutional change is mandated? Who are the stake holders and how do they negotiate and influence this process? How are productive collaborations formed and developed among staff who originated in diverse administrative units? How are new services implemented while critical aspects of the older paradigms are preserved? How do we think "outside the box"? when crafting new solutions?
